The DBEI have released a statement on the processing of employment permits.
- The DBEI will be prioritising and expediting Medical employment permits, they estimate that the processing will take a week.
- Due to the prioritising of the Medical employment permits, this will have an impact and slowdown of processing all other types of employment permits, Trusted Partner & Standard Processing.
- Currently the DBEI are functioning as normal. In the event of a slowdown, or a shut down, the office will be able to continue to carry out its priority work such as processing employment permits and carrying out reviews. However, at some stage it may not be possible to print and distribute employment permits, if this happens the Department will update on alternative measures.
Immigration offices for Irish Residence Permit registrations are open and operating as normal. CCR are keeping in contact with them and will update you if any closures are announced.
